Add a touch of historic Parisian elegance to your collection with this exquisite antique French transferware plate. Dating from the late 19th this piece features the iconic and highly collectible "Groseilles" (Redcurrant) pattern. A beautifully detailed, monochrome garland of redcurrant branches, leaves, and hanging berry clusters around the rim.

This piece carries exceptional provenance. The reverse bears the coveted blue circular retail stamp of Émile Bourgeois’ Grand Dépôt, the luxury boutique once located at 21 Rue Drouot in Paris. Pieces marked with this blue stamp were produced specifically for retail through the shop. The impressed mold numbers on the underside identify the maker as the Sarreguemines pottery factory.

Perfect as a cabinet display piece, a striking wall-hanging accent, or a beautiful addition to a curated mix-and-match tablescape.

Condition:Beautiful staining consistent with age and use. The back of the plate appears to show a hairline crack; however, it is under the glaze as the surface remains smooth to the touch and is not visible from the front of the plate. No chips.
