As a young girl, I spent countless hours flipping through home décor magazines, and styling little vignettes around the house. Creating beauty in small, intentional ways always felt natural to me, like something I was simply meant to do. That early love for thoughtful spaces never really left.
By the time I was in college, my parents were running a small business selling antiques and home décor, and I found myself drawn into that world more intentionally. Being around antiques, and watching them come and go, each with their own history, shaped the way I began to see objects not just as décor, but as stories. I also loved going to market with my mom, exploring places like High Point Market, and Atlanta Market, where I was constantly inspired by the layers of design, textures, and timeless pieces from all over the world.
That path eventually led me to earn a BS degree in Home Furnishings Merchandising, and later into the wholesale home décor industry, where my appreciation for layered, meaningful design continued to deepen. Over time, I found myself especially drawn to French antiques and European textiles, their worn patina, rustic character, and sense of history that you can feel in every piece.
I’ve always been drawn to pieces with character, objects that feel collected over time rather than simply purchased. Small boutiques, layered spaces, and meaningful details have long inspired me. These are the kinds of treasures I’ve loved gifting to those closest to me, and they ultimately inspired the name One Quaint Maison.
Today, each piece in my shop is thoughtfully created or sourced with intention. My OQM Handmade collection features items designed and sewn by me, made in small batches, with care and attention to detail. The Vintage collection is made up of European finds I’ve carefully curated, pieces chosen for their character, patina, and the kind of timeless charm I would bring into my own home. Alongside these, The Home Collection of market finds brings in a more ever evolving layer, sourced from vendors and gatherings where beautiful objects can be restocked when available, adding a fresh yet still intentional rhythm to the shop.
One Quaint Maison is a reflection of all three, handmade, vintage, and market sourced pieces coming together in a cohesive blend of texture, imperfection, and timeworn beauty.
