For collectors who appreciate authentic, timeworn character, this unmarked late-Victorian earthenware pitcher, circa 1860–1890, features a beautifully detailed polychrome transfer-print design. Vibrant, hand-tinted blue, yellow, and rose birds perch among intricate tree branches, while the handle is adorned with a lovely cascading pattern of brown leaves and berries.

The pitcher has gorgeous all-over crazing that has developed into a rich brown patina, often referred to as tea staining. This naturally aged finish adds depth, warmth, and the character so many collectors love.
